Jayme Moore-Berry

BIOGRAPHY

Jayme Moore-Berry was born in Joliet, Illinois to Reverend J. E. and Mrs. Tecola Moore. She is the eldest of five children. Blessed to be raised in the Apostolic Faith, Jayme was baptized in Jesus name at the age of five. She was later filled with the Holy Spirit at the age of ten under the leadership of her father and pastor of Christ Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith in Joliet. She is married to the love of her life Deacon Willie Berry.

Jayme identifies with the scripture, Luke 12:48, “…whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required…”. Not understanding the call of God on her life to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Jayme began to exercise her godly gifts throughout grammar school and junior high. She loved to participate on various speech teams and received several awards. Jayme displayed her love for God and His house as a teenager through ministry as Choir Director, Sunday School Assistant Bookkeeper, Usher, Youth Program Coordinator and more.

Like many, Jayme struggled with everyday teenage situations and distractions of the world. Seeking exemption from the call of God, she enlisted in the United States Army in 1981. Despite attempting to run from the call of God’s plan for her life, with a surrendered heart and uplifted hands she found herself saying yes to his will and began preparing to minister with power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost. She began ministering in 1984 and was ordained in 2001. Her ministry has taken her across the country and into Canada with requests to preach in other countries. Jayme holds a BS in Business Admin, BA in Christian Ministries, a Masters in Early Childhood Concentrating in Teaching Adults, and working on her doctorate in Strategic Leadership. She is also a published author and working on 2 additional books.

As a member of the historical Christ Temple AFC in Joliet, IL., under the pastorate of her father, she holds the following positions: Asst. Pastor, president of women ministers, financial secretary, and former President of the Illinois State Youth Dept. She is Vice President of the D.R. Bell Apostolic Bible College and an entrepreneur with many requests to teach and train others. Rev. Moore-Berry declares, “all I want is for God to get the glory out of my life.”

One of Jayme’s favorite scriptures is found in Psalms 63 (…early will I seek thee……To see thy power and thy glory…”.
